Dr. Jan Mohammad Lone is Assistant Professor (Contractual) in the Department of Philosophy, University of Kashmir, Srinagar. He did M.Phil. and Ph.D. from Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh, India and has been awarded for Post-Doctoral Fellowship (Indian Council of Social Science Research, New Delhi (ICSSR-PDF) and joined Centre for Philosophy, School of Social Sciences, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, India. He taught at Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh and Govt. College for Women, Cluster University Srinagar, M.A Road Srinagar. He also worked as Academic Counsellor at Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU), Regional Center Srinagar. He also taught M.A. Education / M. Ed. [Philosophical Foundations of Education (Fundamental Philosophical Issues, Schools of Indian Philosophy and ʾIslāmic Traditions)] as a Resource Person at Department of Education, University of Kashmir, South Campus and taught B.A. (Optional) Winter Semester 2020, at Centre for Philosophy, School of Social Sciences, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, during his Post-Doctoral Programme. He has been appointed as a member of a committee to frame the syllabi of B.A. Philosophy for Four Year Undergraduate Program (FYUP) at the Department of Philosophy, Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh as per guidelines provided by NEP Cell AMU. He has been awarded ICSSR-PDF (Indian Council of Social Science Research – PostDoctoral Fellowship); ICPR-JRF (Indian Council of Philosophical Research – Junior Research Fellowship); and UGC-MANF (University Grants Commission – Maulana Azad National Fellowship – availed JRF & SRF).
